the monitoring of tools and small articles when entering or exiting a radioactive area.

Dufrane's SAM-9 Shield is an attractive, cost-efficient solution to a few of your common problems:
exposed lead bricks, employee downtime, inefficiency and reduced productivity. The SAM-9 Shield is
pre-engineered to meet your specific requirements.

Features:
- Maximum durability and superior quality construction.
- All stainless steel surfaces with an attractive brushed finish
- 1", 1.5" or 2" thickness is standard. Other thicknesses are available to meet specific application requirements.
- Full lead thickness in side and rear walls, plus .25" of lead equivalent in the lid.
- Lightweight lid can be easily removed with attached handles (thickness restricted to provide a maximum light weight of 120 lbs).
- Unique design makes the SAM-9 Shield portable and easily moveable anywhere.
Configurations:
- Inside dimension: 27" wide x 22" deep x 33.33" high
Approximate Weight:
- 1" thickness weighs 1,250 lbs.
- 1.5" thickness weighs 1,900 lbs.
- 2" thickness weighs 2,700 lbs
Options:
- Top rear hinged lid available to facilitate easier access to the upper rear section of the monitor.
- Alternate shield material: the SAM-9 Shield can be built using steel as an alternative to lead.
- Specially-designed cart (with a capacity in excess of 5,000 lbs) for SAM-9 Shields. Available in carbon steel with an attractive painted finish.
